Final project brief
For my final project i will create a very simple illustration for Wikimedia Commons and explaining my vision as I have chosen: - Space and Sensory (sensory engagement and the Haptic). From research and looking at examples i have chosen Biometrics to be my theme through out, explaining the different types of senors and how they work stage by stage when encountering human interactions; for example finger print scanner. Biometrics can not only interact with human behavior but also it can tell a lot from each person; all of our information today is stored somewhere and this case at the tips of our fingers to our eyes to even our voice. i want to create/illustrate a wall in which all possible biometric systems are being used and can be experimented with; once each person has done their scanning all of their information can be displayed on screen; from ID data to anything related with social media regarding that person.
The 'Wall'
My concept for this idea is a 'wall' (to be placed in a gallery or art exhibition) in which it is covered in all types of biometric sensors: finger/hand print scanners, Iris scanner, facial recognition scanners. once the user has scanned his/her identity into the 'wall' their information will be displayed; depending on how public or private this person shares their information of social media networks that data will be displayed for everyone to see on the 'wall', if the user is more private; name, nationality, age, date of birth and occupation will be displayed as general information and just to show how the 'wall' works.
The 'Wall'
How it works: because all ID cards and passports hold copies of our unique finger prints; once the 'wall' has recognized the identity it will then put the name into a search engine and pull out all the information gathered from the web (social media)
* this is how the information will look like on the wall, with a picture of the person participating.
