Before I could download Gimp i had to download XQuartz so it could be compatible with my laptop (Apple) which runs on OSX.

Using Gimp

I opened an image/illustration i liked from Tumblr by Minni Havas just like you would on Photoshop.

You can add layers and shut off layers like Photoshop, but there is no selection tool on Gimp and that was quiet challenging trying to select areas.

This tool allows you to select only the same colors from an image.

Experimenting with the colors.

Adding backgrounds.

Using this tool; after you draw around a certain area it can change the shape and form from the image.

I enlarged the lips area.

There are many forms in saving this image, it was very straight forward.
